What parents and families need to know
Congratulations on your child’s kindergarten school year at Cassopolis Public Schools. Your kindergartner has been given a FREE $25 College Savings Account at Circle Federal Credit Union in Cassopolis, Michigan. (If you do not wish your child to participate, you may opt-out by completing the opt-out form available at casskickstart.com and returning the form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a free, deposit only account designed to encourage an early start to saving for the future cost of postsecondary education/training. Deposits are accepted from ANY source – your student, you as parents, family members, and relatives. Local Cass Kickstart donors will also make incentive matches over the life of your child’s account. Upon graduation from Cassopolis Public Schools, your student will be able to use these funds for expenses related to attending college, pursuing a trade, or a professional certificate.
This savings account is restricted for use in paying expenses related to going to college, pursuing a trade, or professional certificate, or any qualified educational pursuit past High School. This account is NOT accessible until your student graduates High School. (Hardship withdrawals are allowed by application to the Program Administrator at email@example.com.
