Field trips to Circle Federal Credit Union were conducted November 15-17 for all Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students at Sam Adams School in Cassopolis.
While visiting the Credit Union, the children learned how banks and credit unions save their money, how to earn money, how to save, make deposits, and the importance of saving for college and other post secondary education costs.
During their visit, they learned the role of the teller and how the banks count large amounts of money mechanically.
All children entering Kindergarten have an account opened for them with a $25 balance and have opportunities to earn incentives based on goals established by the staff of Sam Adams. This is all possible because of the generous support of our community, The Circle Federal Credit Union that established and manages accounts for the students, and the volunteer efforts of the Cass Kickstart to Careers Board of Directors.
